Internal notes on candidates, Echo AI interviewer scheduling, and a redesigned candidate page

New

  • Internal notes on candidates, with visibility tiers A new Notes tab on every candidate profile lets you write notes and choose who sees them: Private (just you, plus anyone you name), Shared (the hiring team), or Interview panel (the hiring team plus assigned interviewers). Mention a colleague with `@` and they're notified by email and in-app.
  • Echo AI interviewer in your interview plan You can now assign Echo as the interviewer for any stage directly from the interview plan editor — a clear People / Echo toggle replaces the old cards. Stala can schedule Echo-stage interviews from candidate availability alone, with no human panel required.
  • Navigate intake form sections from a left-hand menu Intake forms no longer stack every section into one long scroll. Sections now appear as a menu on the left, with one shown at a time — so you can jump straight to the part you need. Each tab shows how many questions are answered, and overall progress sits in the form header.

Improved

  • Candidate actions and key info follow you across tabs The Overview tab is gone. CV match score, current stage, next interview, and feedback summary now sit in a strip above the tabs — visible from Profile, Interviews, Messages, and History. Schedule Interview, Advance, and Reject live there too, with clear explanations when an action isn't available.
  • Interview transcripts are back for recorded interviews The transcript download and transcript Q&A panel had silently disappeared from recorded interview stages after a provider change, even though every transcript was still being captured. Both are visible again.
  • Stala always greets candidates by name Every message Stala sends — individual availability requests and bulk ones alike — now always addresses the candidate by their first name. Previously the greeting could come out as a bare "Hi," depending on how the AI phrased it.
  • See what your AI agents have learned about you A new Agents Memory tab on your profile shows what the assistant has picked up about how you work — your timezone, tone, and recurring preferences. If something it learned is wrong or stale, Forget everything clears it.
  • AI agents remember how you work, not just your last job The assistant now builds up a picture of your working style — timezone, tone, conventions — instead of filling up with details from whichever role you last discussed. Job-specific facts stay in that conversation and no longer follow you onto your next, unrelated role.
  • Organization context always wins over personal preferences When something the assistant has learned about your personal working style conflicts with your organization's AI Context settings, the organization's information now takes precedence — every time, across all agents.
  • Fewer default permission roles New organizations now start with four default roles — Admin, Recruiter, Hiring Manager, and Interviewer — instead of six. The Coordinator and Read only roles have been retired; existing groups are untouched and keep working.
  • Retired permission roles are clearly marked If your organization has a group built from the retired Coordinator or Read only role, it's now marked as such in the permissions UI. The group itself still works — you can rename it, edit its permissions, or delete it as before.

Fixed

  • Echo interviews no longer join silently without audio Interviews booked more than 6 hours in advance could give Echo an access ticket that expired before the meeting started, causing Echo to join with no voice and no visible error. Tickets now stay valid through the full meeting window, however far ahead they're booked.
  • AI agents no longer reference tools that don't exist Several agents were occasionally trying to call tools by the wrong name, causing failed turns and wasted steps. The prompts have been corrected so agents call the right tools every time.
